The CAPPA 18 Hour Childbirth Educator Training

 

Ready to become more proficient when offering childbirth education? Take the first step towards becoming a Certified Childbirth Educator with CAPPA.  This eighteen-hour workshop meets the first requirement of your CCCE program and prepares you to work through the steps for certification. This course is designed to improve the skill base, knowledge and perspectives on childbirth for perinatal professionals.

Why Certify as a CCCE?

Certified Childbirth Educators (CCCEs) provide evidence based information to the community, families and professionals. Childbirth Educators can be found working in a variety of settings to offer their services to families. Families can find them working as public health educators, hospital/community educators, in care providers’ offices and in private practice as educators.

 

CAPPA Childbirth Educators are non-clinical professionals. CAPPA Childbirth Educators do not dispense medical advice, diagnose medical conditions, or prescribe/administer medications or treatments of any kind. Educators do not offer information that directs families to act against medical advice.

Terms:

  • There are no refunds for this training.
  • I should not make non-refundable travel arrangements, until Brenda Bach has confirmed the training.

If I cancel less than three weeks before the beginning of the workshop, I will not be eligible for a transfer and will not receive a refund.


  • If I wish to transfer to another training, I must receive approval from Brenda Bach.
  • If I fail to show for the training, I am not eligible for a transfer.
  • Cancellations before three weeks prior to the beginning of the training have the option of having the payment applied to a training workshop given by Brenda Bach within 12 months. (No-shows are not eligible for registration transfer.) Only ONE transfer of registration is permitted. If applicant does not attend a workshop within 12 months, all fees are forfeited.
  • I understand that I must pay in full 30 days before the training or my place will not be reserved unless I have made arrangements with Brenda Bach.
  • I understand that if I am paying by PayPal, I will receive an email invoice within 48 hours. If my payment is not received by the invoice date  (unless arrangements have been made with Brenda Bach), my place in the training will not be reserved.
  • I understand I should not make non-refundable travel arrangements unless I have received confirmation from CAPPA Faculty that the training is confirmed.
